Codux by Wix

Wix approached CM.SUPPLY and COMET to help co-develop a structured design system for Codux — their new visual IDE where teams can shape components visually, directly alongside the codebase. The goal was to build a system where visual rules and code logic stay perfectly in sync. To pressure-test this, we developed an e-commerce template as a real working environment: every component, state, variation, layout rule, and motion property had to be defined, implemented, and validated both visually and in code. This real-world process became the backbone of the system. By designing something that needed to function end-to-end, we could refine how Codux interprets hierarchy, constraints, component behaviour, and motion — ensuring that what designers see in the builder mirrors what developers handle in the code.
